He waited trapped in his “victim’s” window for SIX hours before the homeowner found half a man in the kitchen and called the police and fire brigade. Well, i’m 20 years old now but, i look 17 and i act 7. Growing up isn’t as easy as it looks! Some misguided individuals believe growing up means getting taller and achieving the products of puberty. If only that was the case! Growing up is actually the development and expansion of not just our bodies, but our minds and even our souls.

So let’s say you’ve recently reached legal adulthood (as in you are between the ages of 18 and 21) puberty is over, your body has stopped growing and you’ve finished compulsory education… now what? A lot of people regress to a snail’s pace or even come to a complete halt. This is why there are so many boys and girls walking around in the bodies of men and women; naive, immature and to be frank, quite ignorant. The mind is such a complex thing that it takes a lot longer than the body to mature to its full potential, in fact it’s the most likely part of us to not reach its full potential at all. For example just because a girl has developed a voluptuous figure doesn’t make her emotionally mature enough for sex.

After all that academic education it is time to stimulate ones mind even further. At school we learn maths, science, history and even art but we don’t learn life. This is a subject we have to independently study by watching the people around us, how they act and react and by researching ourselves and the great persons who have come before us, whether it be through reading or granddad’s “in-my-day” tales.

Around this age every generation gets trapped in a prison of perception, we tend to be who people think we are rather than who we want to be. A lot of young adults from all backgrounds see the media telling them what they should wear and listen to, how to talk and act and it’s very common for us to be moulded by the media instead of fashioning our own lifestyles, don’t be defensive we all do it to some degree. What I suggest, is to open yourself up to different things. Don’t feed the stereotype of who you are in society. Ofcourse you have the right to listen to whatever you want but try something new; a new genre of music or novel, a new activity go camping or to the theatre.. in order to grow as a person you have to experience completely different things (you haven’t moved from your current location if you are looking at the same scenery in the same angle) The only way to really grow up and become wise is to open your mind to all that is around you there is so much available to us in this day and age but if you limit your options, you ultimately limit yourself.

We’ve all still have a lot of growing to do. … Continue baking for at least another 50 years ;-)

The Smooth Street to Smooth Skin …

I know the title is cheesy bt i yearned for alliteration!!

The first outer workings post is on skin care. I love my ladies but some of this is for the guys too (it wouldn’t hurt don’t be shy).

In order to have healthy skin you have got to be healthy! The skin is like the human packaging and you have to admit if a product is not packaged properly it’s probably not right on the inside.

DO!…

  • Make sure you’re eating lots of FRESH fruit and veg, also adding vitamin supplements to your diet will definetely make you feel alot healthier (I use boots vitamin c and zinc to keep my immune system strong and  holland&barrets skin, hair and nails [which is brilliant btw])
  • Drink lots of water! it really does cleanse you! Flush out your system! try going a week WITHOUT juice, fizzy drinks and alcohol .. yes a WEEK a whole 7 days!!! *gasp*
  • Exercise - In order to flush out your pores you’ve gotta sweat! and the most efficient and beneficial way to sweat is to get moving and burn some calories. This will give your skin a health glow =)
  • Wash and moisturise your face twice a day! with ionic surfactantFREE alcoholFREE products! products containing ionic surfactant and alcohol dry out the skin! natural ingredients may sound like hocus pocus but are just as good if not even better than commercial cosmetics. My regime goes as follows:
    1 - Wash face with raw organic honey
    2 - Exfoliate with sugar and lemon scrub
    3 - Leave face to air dry naturally (do not use a towel/flannel)
    4 - Apply witchhazel and rosewater with cotton pad as a toner
    5 - . Apply coconut oil with a cotton padto moisturise
    NO chemicals NO expensive cosmetics just good old fashion God-given ingredients straight from nature.

DON’T! …

  • Smoke. Smoking is out of the question … QUIT NOW, if you’ve got bad skin I gurantee this is not helping!
  • Binge. Excessive alcohol consumption is a NO NO alcohol is just sugar… and as we ALL know by now excess sugar = excess pimples!!
  • Eat greasy and oily foods.. all that McDonald’s is great at blocking your pores and i won’t bore you with the science of it but you are what you eat really is quite literal in this case.
  • Paint your face. Foundation and blushers give your skin no space to breathe. clog your pores and dry out your skin.. the more you wear them the more the harm you skin and so you feel the need to wear the more it’s a viscious cycle. If you know your dependant on foundations and you wouldn’t be seen in public without it you need to get brave and start weening yourself off them. Start off by not wearing them to school,college university, work.. who are you trying to impress you are in these places to get an education or make money not to find a husband!! hopefully releasing your skin from its powder prison will help it to revive itself and soon enough (if treating it right as stated above) it will start to even out.

This is all from personal experience and it may be stuff that you’ve heard before but is it something that you’ve really tried and stuck to?? .. It wouldn’t hurt to give it another go for a week or a month and see if you notice any change in your complexion.

I wish that I could give some fancy explanation about how profound my tumblr name is and how it came to me in a dream one night as i realised the meaning of life blah blah blah… Alas, it’s painstaking simple whilst remaining slightly mysterious, though not enough to warrant much excitement.

The origin of my tumblr name is [drumroll please …]:

= and the fact that i love IT!  lol

fact #1: i have a memory that a goldfish would ridicule! i can literally forget what i’m talking about whilst talking about it!

fact #2: I was hit by a car when i was 16 so now im extremely cautious when crossing the road.

fact #3: I have a diblitating case of arachnophobia! like crying, fainting, vomitting, anxiety attacks it’s really bad it’s been recommended that i visit a psychiatrist

fact #4: I am addicted to family guy and southpark i couldn’t go 48hrs without at least one of them!

fact #5: Bedtime is my favourite time of day, i really enjoy dreaming i even like nightmares sleeping is just really fun!

fact #6: Things that physically attract me to a man include: very DARK skin, broad shoulders, a heartwarming smile, big hands and big feet ;-)

fact #7: I hate flowers i’d rather receive a hand written note or tub of haagen daaz.

fact #8: I’m a sucker for musicals!!! i loooove them! i  want to be an actress and a musical theatre role would be my dream come true.

fact #9: I hate being ignored to the point where if someone misses my call and doesnt call me back within a few days i delete their number until they provide a justifiable excuse.
